I have had a unit here since 2013. Tim is the absolute best. I’m a creative & I travel abroad often, so sometimes I need a gentle reminder to pay my bill and I have lost my keys more than once - and though I am a handful he always takes good care of me and helps me without making me feel at all like a burden. He is always professional and very kind. The building and grounds are super clean and well maintained, just as nice as the day this place was built. This place has been the Best place to Store our goods so far. We have now had experience with 5 different companies and this one is the cream of the crop. The management is experienced, trained & very thorough and attentive. We have had nightmare experiences with 2 out of the 5 and Tim (Manager) and Shannon (DM) here go above and beyond. They know what they’re actually doing and it shows that they respect what they do for a living which reflects on how they treat customers. Everything's great about this place! The facility is well-maintained and clean to make me happy to store my items here. Even the restroom's spotless. It's also super-convenient being so close to the center of town and a few major roads, while being in a safe area of town. The staff's genuinely happy to help you, making sure that you're really having a great experience. I was so impressed by Shannon taking the time to understand my needs and actually walking over with me to resolve an issue instead of just pointing with a little explainer and good luck wish, that's so common with other businesses' support. They have a can-do attitude here! You will absolutely love this place and feel your hard-earned money is being put to good use. I've been renting a single, very large storage unit for my business fulfillment storage at Stor for about 2 years now. This past year, even though some other new storage facilities had opened up in the immediate area, I chose to stay at stor when I needed to add more space. I wasn't sure at first that I was going to stay because Stor had several tumultuous months after I got my first unit where there was a lot of change over going on with the staff and management. But then things finally improved dramatically when they hired the new manager, Shelbi and ever since then things have been not only running smoothly, but running optimally! when I needed to add more space and get a second unit, it was a no-brainer to stay at Stor because Shelbi is simply phenomenal. And I recently added a third unit as well. While the facility itself is great even with the odd geometric shape of the building (which I actually love) and even though there are other newer facilities that have opened up right nearby, I chose to stay at Stor because for my business storage, I need a place that has great management, and clear communication and since they brought Shelbi on board, I'm getting all of those needs taken care of. Shelbi does an amazing job of keeping everything organized, clean, and running smoothly. Whenever I need help with anything or have packages that arrive for me, she's always happy to help with those, making sure packages get delivered to my unit and also extremely responsive when I or anyone else has questions. Stor had several 'bumpier' months when I first got my first unit where things were not quite as organized and there was a lot of change-over with temporary employees, many of whom just sat in the front office, lifelessly waiting until their shift ended,... but once they brought Shelbi on board full-time as the head of the facility, everything runs smoothly all the time now. And not only that, she is always a joy to deal with and happy to help with any issue or question that comes up and actually able to provide quality answers. She always has a big smile on her face and is ready to help in any way that she can. Plus she's incredibly smart and if there ever any issues, she can figure out creative solutions very quickly. In fact she goes above and beyond to make sure that her customers at the facility are well taken care of. There was even one time when I was out of the country when I had a scheduled USPS pick up on aSaturday and USPS had a temporary employee that day who didn't show up before the Sat 3 PM close time.... so Shelbi personally called me to let me know that USPS hadn't shown up to do the pickup so I could contact the post office to get someone there to do the pick up because it was a very time sensitive shipment. She even stayed after her normal closing time off the clock just to help me out, waiting until USPS arrived, because she knew the shipment was so time-sensitive. I've never even heard of that level of service at any other storage facility nor was there anything close to that level of care, service and attention to detail at Stor before they brought Shelbi on board. Shelbi and her always-smiling, above-and -beyond level of service is the #1 reason that when I needed a lot more space, I decided to stay at Stor instead of moving to one of the other newer facilities nearby. Whether you need a tiny storage space or a much larger one, I highly recommend Stor... at least as long as Shelbi chooses to continue working there! - Leanne Venier

I recently had to move in a hurry from my apartment complex being sold for condos (that's Austin for you!) and I could not be happier with my experience at South Lamar Storage. The prices are a little high however not unusual for the area, but Shelbi listened to my ranting and concerns and offered me a great special along with a very cheap insurance plan for peace of mind. The leasing process was as simple as it could be and took maybe 10 minutes of my time. The building has a ton of security features so I know my stuff is in good hands, they provided carts which was a HUGE relief! I highly recommend this storage place! - Carrie S
